On Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026, at 11:12 a.m. Haletown Fire and Rescue responded to a structure fire on Keef Rd in Guild. While in route firemen were advised the fire was out but still smoking.
Upon arrival it was discovered the inside furnace unit had caught fire, but the homeowner had extinguished the flames. Upon cutting the breaker to the unit, they began overhaul with a thermal imaging camera and tools. When firemen determined there were no heat and embers, they advised the homeowner to contact an electrician.
Haletown Fire and Rescue assisting injured fisherman
On Friday February 27,2026 12:19 p.m. Haletown Fire and Rescue reported to a river overpass for a fisherman who couldn’t make his way back up the rocks.
Upon arrival they found the fishermen, who couldn’t stand or move. With Puckett EMS in route, the man was put on a backboard and carried to the waiting ambulance.
