At a recent city meeting, the Board of Mayor & Aldermen of Powells Crossroads voted to approve the purchase a new Taser gun for the town’s police department.
Police Chief Kenneth Seagraves brought the request before the board, recommending the Taser 10 model from Axon, a well-known police equipment manufacturer. The Taser 10 can hold up to 10 cartridges and has a range of 45 feet, enabling officers to subdue multiple suspects from farther away compared to older models. It also comes with a built-in laser to improve accuracy, making it more effective on duty.
