Community members are invited to attend the official opening and dedication ceremony for Charlie Smith Park on Wednesday, May 21st in Bridgeport, Alabama.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. and will include refreshments and activities for children as residents gather to celebrate the new community space.
Mayor Hughes and members of the city council say they are excited to officially open the park and provide an outdoor recreation area designed to be enjoyed by residents of all ages.
Bridgeport City leaders also noted that additional improvements and future additions are already being planned for the park.
