The 9th Annual CASA Rodeo is set to return to Jasper this weekend, bringing two nights of rodeo action, live entertainment, and community fun — all while raising support for abused and neglected children across the Sequatchie Valley region.
Hosted by CASA of the Sequatchie Valley, the annual fundraiser will take place Friday, May 29 and Saturday, May 30 at 495 Warrior Drive in Jasper. The location is adjacent to the Jasper Park Complex in front of Jasper Elementary School.
Organizers say the event serves as one of CASA’s biggest annual fundraisers and helps support advocacy efforts for children in Marion, Sequatchie, Grundy, and Bledsoe counties. CASA — which stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates — works through the local juvenile court system to speak up for children who have experienced abuse or neglect.
The family-friendly event will feature classic rodeo competitions including bull riding, barrel racing, bronc riding, team roping, and more, showcasing cowboys and cowgirls from across the region.
In addition to the rodeo events, attendees can enjoy live music, food vendors, shopping booths, and activities for all ages. A pre-rodeo concert featuring NewFound Revival is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. each evening before the rodeo starts at 7:30 p.m.
Gates open daily at 4:30 p.m.
Organizers emphasize the event will go on “rain or shine.”
According to CASA of the Sequatchie Valley, proceeds from the rodeo directly benefit the organization’s mission of advocating for vulnerable children throughout the region.
Community members from across the Sequatchie Valley are encouraged to attend, support the cause, and enjoy a weekend of rodeo entertainment with a purpose.
