Christopher “Brian” Janeway
Christopher “Brian” Janeway of Marion County has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for providing methamphetamine that led to a fatal overdose. He admitted guilt for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and reckless homicide.
Authorities tracked the overdose back to Janeway during their investigation, leading to his arrest for possessing meth. Additional drug charges were later filed against him.
Two others, Billy Gott and Patrick Pitts, also pleaded guilty to drug-related offenses; Pitts is currently incarcerated in state prison, while Gott is serving probation.
Once Janeway completes his state sentence, he will be moved to federal custody to face another charge. The case involved both the South Pittsburg Police Department and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
