Drivers Met with Labor Day Weekend Gas Prices
Labor Day weekend travelers faced the highest gas prices ever for this time of year. The national average is $4.14, up 4 cents from last week. Continued volatility in the Strait of Hormuz has pushed crude oil prices in the $90 per barrel range.
Tennessee’s average price was $3.81; Alabama $3.80 and Georgia’s average price was $3.89. The highest price in the country is California at $5.86 per gallon.
