Obituaries

Carolyn Basham, age 86, of Cartwright Community, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Hearth Hospice Care Center of Chattanooga. Carolyn was a loving grandmother and was retired from the Sequatchie County Middle School Cafeteria. She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Basham; son, Steve Basham; parents, Herman and Arnie Cunningham; brothers, Willie, Houston, Herman Jr, and L.D. Cunningham.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Rodney) Selcer, Hixson; sons, Greg (Val) and Barry (Beth) Basham, both of Dunlap; Daughter-In-Law, Marlene Basham; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Smith, Dunlap; brother, Kenneth Cunningham, Dunlap; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 21 at 12:00 p.m. CST in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Condra Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
