David Douglas Cribbs, age 73 of Dunlap TN passed away at his residence on Thursday, February 19, 2026 surrounded by his family.

He was a member of Cagle Community Church. He loved his church family, traveling to hotrod shows and was a loving father.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hershel Cribbs, mother and stepfather, Mildred McDaniel Powell and Bill Powell; wife, Phyllis Ann Boston Cribbs; brother, Claude Anthony "Tony" Cribbs.

He is survived by his children, James Thomas (Imogene) Cribbs, Christopher Lynn Cribbs, Thomas Ray (Jean) Cribbs, Christina Leoma (Tony) Cribbs Parr and Patricia Ann Cribbs Neal; sister, Bobbie "Brenda" (Jerry) Lewis; grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Cribbs, Nathan James Cribbs, Isabella Grace Cribbs, Ashlyn Cribbs, Miranda Lee (Joel) Eller, Felix David Cribbs and Avalyn Jean Cribbs; great grandchildren, Zelda Marie Eller and Jett Lucas Eller along with several other extended family members.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, February 22, 2026 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Ewton Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Bro. Darrel Nance officiating. Burial will follow in Sequatchie County Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends Saturday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
