Obituary For Earl Russell Belk
Earl Russell Belk, 93, of Jasper, Tennessee, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. Born on April 5, 1932, to Arthur D. Belk and Polly Belk, Earl lived a long and full life rooted in faith, family, and hard work. He was married to the love of his life, Charlotte A. Rich Belk, for 61 years, a partnership marked by devotion, laughter, and unwavering support.
Together they built a home filled with warmth and cherished memories. Earl proudly served his country in the United States Army and attended Baptist Hill Church in Jasper. He later retired from TVA, where he worked as a skilled carpenter, known for his craftsmanship and dedication.
A man who loved the outdoors and staying busy, Earl enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, tinkering with projects, mowing, and riding his side-by-side. His hands were rarely still, and his heart was always open. Above all, Earl treasured time spent with his family. His greatest joy came from being surrounded by those he loved.
Earl leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and steadfast love. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Earl is preceded in death by his father, Arthur D. Belk; mother, Polly Belk; and 9 brothers and sisters.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Charlotte Rich Belk; son, Lee (Rebecca) Belk; daughter, Robin (Eddie) York; grandchildren, Brandon (Marygrace) York, Brittany (Ryan) Friedrich, Heath Belk, Lauren (Hayden) Holland; great grandchildren, Savannah and Hudson York, Easton Friedrich, Ava Holland; special caretaker and friend, Michelle Stone.
Visitation is on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 1:00 to 8:00 pm CST and on Friday, February 27, from 11:00 to 1:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.
Funeral services will be on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 1:00 pm CST in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee with Roger Webb officiating.
Military Honors will be presented by the Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard.
Earl will be laid to rest on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, Tennessee immediately following the funeral service.
Pallbearers are Brandon York, Heath Belk, Ryan Friedrich, Hayden Holland, Ray Stephens and Ray Blevins.
