Obituary For Joan Katherine "Kathy" Hatfield
Joan Katherine Hatfield, age 73, of Dunlap, TN, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2026 at Erlanger Sequatchie ER. She was a member of Chapel Hill Methodist Church, a cast member for Sequatchie County Cancer Support Network's production of Hee Haw for 30 years, playing the role of "Nurse Good Body", and she loved to remodel houses. She was preceded in death by her father, William J. Dean; brother, Charles "Chuck" Dean; nephews, Caleb and Casey Dean; and grandparents, Bell and Maley Long, Mattie and Glenn Dean.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Floyd A. Hatfield, Jr; sons, Trey Hatfield, Todd (Heather) Hatfield, and Tyler Hatfield; grandchildren, Caroline and William Hatfield; mother, Ruby Long Dean; sisters, Glena (Jimmy) Jacobs, and Janet (Quay) Tate; brothers, David (Amy) Dean and Tim (Christie) Dean; sister-in-law, Kathy Swanger Dean; and many other nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jared Wood officiating. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the cast of Sequatchie County Hee Haw. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
