Obituary For Luther Glenn Moore
Luther Glenn Moore, 93, of Jasper, Tennessee, was called home on Monday, February 23, 2026. Born on February 16, 1933, in Ider, Alabama, he was the son of Luther A. Moore and Emma Lee Driskell Moore. Glenn lived a life defined by hard work, dedication, and quiet strength.
A truck driver through and through, he spent his entire career on the road, retiring from Mason Dixon after decades of loyal service to the trucking industry. Driving wasn’t just his job, it was part of who he was, and he took great pride in a lifetime of working and keeping America moving. His handle was “Kojak”.
When he wasn’t working, Glenn enjoyed the simple pleasures that brought him joy. He was an avid Tennessee football fan, cheering on the Vols with unwavering loyalty. He also loved settling in to watch old westerns, finding comfort in the familiar stories and timeless characters. Above all, Glenn valued purpose. Working was his passion, and he approached each day with the same steady determination that defined his life. He will be remembered for his devotion, his work ethic, and the quiet, enduring legacy he leaves behind.
Glenn is preceded in death by his father, Luther A. Moore; mother, Emma Lee Driskell Moore; brothers, Freeman Moore, Oliver Moore, Sherman Moore, Waymon Moore; sisters, Joyce Haynes, Virgie Thomas, Shirley Murphy, and Inez Johnson.
