Obituary For Rebekah Louise Hill

Rebekah Louise Hill, age 37, of Sale Creek, TN, passed away Friday, January 16, 2026 at her home.

Rebekah was an active member of the Dunlap Seventh-day Adventist Church, and leader of women’s ministries there. She had many interests, including music, cats, crafting, sewing, needlework, history, genealogy, and reading, however her passion was people, young and old. She spent two years in India teaching and loving children at an orphanage with Living Springs Missions, where she was instrumental in the lives of many of the kids. After leaving India she studied elementary education at Ouachita Hills College where she got to know the love of her life, Daniel Hill, whom she married in 2017. While living in Oregon she learned Project Linus couldn't find any local churches to work with so she organized a group at her local church that made quilts and blankets for troubled children. In Tennessee she bought dolls of various ethnic backgrounds and sewed and fitted cultural clothes for the mission emphasis in the church primary class. She enjoyed every opportunity to teach and tutor kids. She worked to bless everyone she met and introduce them to her precious Savior. Whether by a smile, an act of kindness, or by a listening ear, she sought to share the goodness of His love. Her desire was to take to heaven all within her circle of influence and to this end she and her husband prayed.

Her life was ended too soon after a battle with inflammatory breast cancer, a rare aggressive cancer with a poor prognosis. In spite of this she became a walking miracle for nearly 5 years by God's grace inspiring many with her positivity, gratitude, and faith. She can say along with Paul the Apostle: "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." 2 Timothy 4:7-8
