Richard Wayne Higdon age 77, of Dunlap, TN, passed away Wednesday morning, February 4, 2026 at NHC Sequatchie. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Higdon; four brothers, Grady, Bob, Tom, and Chester Higdon.

He is survived by his sister, Betty Layne; two brothers, Hershel (Brenda) Higdon and Larry Higdon; along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 6, 2026 at 11:00 am CST in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Bryant Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap, TN. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 5, 2026 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm CST.
