This week I will be involved with not just one but two ladies becoming centurions. That means both will made one hundred years of age. They are sister-in-laws to boot. Both are in relatively good heath for their age and their minds are as sharp as ever.
One of them is named Lois and she is a constant source of encouragement and excitement to me when I go to visit her. We have a standing appointment and when I ask her how she is doing, she always gives me the same answer; “I have no complaints.” Wow. What a great answer.
We all have our days now, I am sure. However, this lady is a great example of how to make life worth living. A life without constant distractions and complaints frees us from the negativity of ourselves and others. We can be free.
Jesus tells us that He came to give us life and life more abundantly and that is just the beginning. We have the opportunity to give that to others. Yes, that’s right. We have the opportunity to live our lives free of other’s negativity as well as our own. That opportunity also gives us the responsibility to share that with others.
As I close my thought for this week, live a life without complaints. Live a life free of distractions or complaints. That does not mean that our lives won’t have difficulties or pain. However, if we give our lives, thoughts and hearts to God. Well, you never know what may happen.
See you next week. God bless.
