The Marion County Highway Department has completed several paving projects recently. Just some of the roads that have a new surface include Condra Road, Red Hill Cemetery Road, Pine Street in Sequatchie, McGowan Road, Hillside Drive, and Dawson Springs Road on Jasper Mountain. The Marion County Highway Department has also installed floodgates on Teague and Mt. Calvary Road.
Also, Superintendent Cory Pickett reminds everyone that the county highway department is not responsible for city streets or state roads. They are only responsible for the maintenance of county roads. If you live on a city street or state highway, you need to call your local city hall or TDOT.
