Truck Hauling Gravestones Catches Fire on I-24
At 6:14 on Thursday morning, Haletown Volunteer Fire Department responded to a truck fire on I-24 westbound at mile-marker 163. The semi-truck was hauling granite gravestones.
Haletown Engines 1 and 2 responded to the scene and quickly extinguished the flames. Jasper and Kimball Fire Departments were called in for mutual aid assistance and water supply. There were no injuries.
