Per Dr. Mark Griffith, Director of Schools, Marion County Schools will be dismissing at 12:30 PM CDT on Monday, Aug. 7, 2023 due to the threat of inclement weather expected to impact the area after lunchtime.
Parents/Guardians are advised to follow their child’s school’s dismissal procedures, which will likely be posted to the school’s social media accounts and/or sent out by Remind or other notification systems used by the school.
Multiple Tennessee counties including Marion, Sequatchie, Bledsoe, Grundy, Hamilton, Coffee, and Bradley counties are under a Tornado Watch until 6:00 PM CDT today.
According to the National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center, severe weather is expected to impact our area over the next several hours. Please be safe and stay weather aware!
