The Marion County Chamber of Commerce held its annual banquet on Thursday night at The Hooch in South Pittsburg.
The packed house heard from guest speaker SVEC President Mike Partin as he spoke about changes and the way business is conducted. Partin spoke about how technology continues to change the way business is being done and how important it is to keep up in the ever-changing world.
During the awards presentations, the Large Business of the Year was awarded to Colonial Chemical, and the Small Business of the Year went to WEPG- The River 104.9. SPARQ (South Pittsburg Area Revitalization Quest) received the new Community Award. The Citizen of the Year went to Paige Payne Hill.
