On 10-03-23, at approx. 4:30 p.m., The Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Office responded to #47 Windridge Dr, Dunlap, TN, on the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies located the residents of the house on the premises, and one of the residents was deceased. The victim appeared to have suffered a gunshot wound. The other resident was taken into custody and is being detained for purposes of this investigation.
The victim is believed to have family out of state, and investigators are searching for ways to notify those members currently. Therefore, no names nor any other identifying information can be shared at this time. Also, the investigation is in the very early stages, and no other evidentiary information can be released currently.
