Monday, March 25, 2024, the Marion County Commission awarded Marion County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Christian “Chayce” Ladd with a Proclamation of Valor.
Deputy Chayce Ladd, while off duty, was at the emergency room in Sequatchie County on February 4, 2024, when an inmate began resisting & fighting with a Sequatchie County Corrections Officer. Ultimately, Deputy Ladd was able to secure the inmate.
Deputy Ladd’s heroic actions protected the corrections officer, the medical staff, and the public.
The sheriff’s office stated that Deputy Ladd is a truly heroic and dedicated law enforcement officer. They are extremely proud to have as a part of the department and community.
