Large Drug Bust in Tracy City

On Thursday (04/04/2024), the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office and the Tracy City Police Department executed a search warrant on Lockhart Town Road in Tracy City.

Susan Stephens and Michael Layne were taken into custody after a search of the residence. During the search, a stolen 4-wheeler was found outside the home. Inside the residence, four firearms were located, along with bags of methamphetamines, Xanax pills, digital scales, and multiple items of drug paraphernalia.

A total of 341 fentanyl pills were also located in two separate bags. A total of $1,450 in cash was seized. Multiple foils used to smoke the Fentanyl pills were located throughout the house. Two children were also in the home and are now safe with family members.

Both subjects are in Grundy County Detention Center facing multiple felony charges. 341 fentanyl pills with an approximate street value of $7,000-$10,000 are now off the streets.
