Pirates Move On in State Tournament
In an elimination game in the TSSAA baseball state tournament on Wednesday morning the South Pittsburg Pirates defeated Union City, 6-2.
Zach Tierney pitched a complete game as he struck out 7 and only allowed 1 earned run.
Luke Rector knocked in two runs and Jace Stone had two hits in the game.
The Pirates take on Oakdale at 5 PM in another elimination game.
