The Gateway Monument project continues in Dunlap and is expected to be a beautiful addition to both the community and the Scenic Byway.
What many might not know is that this is truly a grassroots project. While State and local governments have been involved somewhat, project funding and construction have been primarily completed through private funding and donations of both materials and labor efforts.
In the past, this project area has been commonly used for various temporary signage. The City of Dunlap requests that the community refrain from placing signs in and/or around the project site as it is entirely within State right of way. Signs placed on the State right of way are subject to removal. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated, and that all will enjoy this monument.
