Drug Bust in Scottsboro

On July 23, 2024, officers with the Scottsboro Police Department responded to a one-vehicle accident near the 17000 block of AL Hwy 35. During the course of the accident investigation, officers discovered marijuana, hydrocodone, and alprazolam pills inside the vehicle.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, Curtis Dale Parker, W/M, 41, was transported to Highlands Medical Center.

In May of 2024, a search warrant had been executed on Parker’s residence, where officers located a large number of narcotics and money.

Further information had been developed since the search warrant in May, and after discovering the narcotics in Parker’s vehicle, officers obtained a search warrant for PARKER’s residence.

Inside the residence, officers located 4.08 lbs of marijuana, 4.4 grams of methamphetamine/fentanyl mix, Suboxone strips, alprazolam pills, and various types of drug paraphernalia.

In addition, $1,573 in cash was found on Parker’s person and seized.

Arrest warrants were obtained for Parker for the following charges:

  • Trafficking Marijuana
  • Trafficking Fentanyl
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance x 3
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Parker was arrested on 07/30/24 by the Scottsboro Police Department in obedience to the above warrants.
