Three-Vehicle Crash and Fire on I-24 in Marion County

On Sunday, at 5:46 PM, the Haletown Volunteer Fire Department responded to I-24 westbound MM 142 for a multi-vehicle crash with entrapment and an active fire.

Haletown and the Monteagle Fire Department responded to the scene to find a three-vehicle crash. One vehicle had rolled over, and a second was on fire. Haletown and Monteagle firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and secured the scene.

One of the vehicle’s occupants was injured and was transported by Puckett EMS. There were no injuries to firefighters.

One of the involved parties had their pet Border Collie in the vehicle. The dog fled from the scene immediately after the crash. If you locate the Border Collie, please contact the Haletown Volunteer Fire Department.
