In Dunlap just before 6:30 Wednesday morning, a dump truck loaded with debris overturned due to a mechanical failure and losing its brakes.
The police report indicates that the truck, driven by Roger Vaughn, took the northbound Highway 127 on-ramp from Highway 111 North to avoid hitting a tanker truck.
EMS took Vaughn to the hospital for treatment. Sequatchie County Sheriff’s office, along with Emergency Management and Dunlap Police, responded to the scene.
