Wednesday afternoon at 4:28 PM, Haletown Volunteer Fire Department responded to the 500 block of Old Whiteside Road for a structure fire.
Haletown crews quickly located the fire in the roof and began an aggressive interior attack. Crews contained the fire to the attic and quickly extinguished it. The cause of the fire was a power line falling on the home’s roof.
Three Haletown Firefighters suffered minor heat illness and were treated on scene.
Haletown Volunteer Fire Department thanked Fire Rehab Services for providing rehab services for their firefighters and Jasper Fire for bringing their tanker as a backup water supply.
The occupants were not injured, but the structure suffered water damage. The Red Cross was notified.
