Marion County (2-0) powered past East Hamilton on Friday night at Bill Baxter Stadium, 35-0.

Senior quarterback Tilton Pickett completed 11 of 13 passes for 202 yards and five touchdowns. Four of his TDs were caught by Sam Pickett (no relation), who finished with 200 yards of offense on nine touches.

 

The South Pittsburg Pirates (1-1) lost last week to Oliver Springs but bounced back, outgaining the Franklin County Rebels 308-52 in total offense for a 28-0 win.

Dayon Cooper ran 15 times for 149 yards and two touchdowns, including a 47-yarder, and JaMychal Bucker added 80 yards and a score.

 

Whitwell (2-0) defeated Greenback 48-0 on the road Friday night. Brandon Easterly had two TD passes for the Tigers. Adam McDougal caught one of those passes and rushed for another in the win.

 

The Bledsoe County Warriors (2-0) ran the ball 48 times for 332 yards and scored three of their four touchdowns on the ground in a 28-0 win over Cumberland County.

 

Sequatchie County’s Sam Evitts threw for two touchdowns, one each to Jackson Tate and Harrison Smith, as the Indians (1-1) blew away Easy Ridge 55-0.
