Man Jailed after Drug Bust in Dunlap

On Thursday, October 10, 2024, Dunlap Police responded to SR-28 due to a report of a red Chevy S10 swerving in the roadway, with the vehicle occupants possibly fighting. Dunlap Police made contact with the vehicle at the Eagle Express gas station.

Upon identification check, the driver, Samuel B. Dishman, was determined to have been driving while on a revoked driver’s license status.

While searching for Dishman’s person, a plastic baggy and pieces of aluminum foil fell from his pant leg. Located in the baggy were approximately 70 blue-pressed fentanyl pills that weighed approximately 4.9 grams. The foil also contained 2 blue pressed fentanyl pills that weighed approximately 0.1 grams. During a search of the vehicle, a 12-gauge shotgun was discovered, as well as several rounds of ammunition.

After speaking to both vehicle occupants about the alleged assault, police determined that no assault occurred.

Dishman was arrested on the charges of Driving on a Revoked License, Felony Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance – Fentanyl, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
