The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is reminding drivers that starting Monday, October 14, 2024, Hwy 27 (Suck Creek Mountain) will be reduced to one lane for three weeks as work is being done on much-needed shoulder repairs.
This closure will impact the Powells Crossroads side from the bottom of the mountain to the turnback. Please plan and allow extra travel time during this period. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated as we improve our roads.
