Early voting ends October 31 in Tennessee; One week left to participate

Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett has reminded Tennessee residents that they have one more week to participate in early voting as it ends on Thursday, October 31.

The first six days of early voting saw almost one million registered Tennessee voters casting their ballots. In-person voting had a turnout of 933,009 Tennesseans, surpassing the voting totals for early voting in 2016.

“We want all eligible Tennessee voters to cast a ballot,” said Secretary Hargett. “Tennessee and our nation are stronger when every eligible voter participates. Head to the polls now and make your voices be heard.”

Voters will need to bring valid photo identification issued by the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security, the Tennessee state government, or the federal government. This does not include student IDs or out-of-state driver’s licenses.
