On Saturday afternoon (November 23, 2024), just before 4:30 p.m. Haletown Fire and Rescue was called to help find a missing hiker in the area of the Little Cedar Mtn hiking trail.
The last ping of the hiker’s cell was near the riverbank. Haletown’s Rescue Boat was launched, and other firemen began the search for the hiker. The person was found safe about 2 miles down the trail a short time later. Firemen helped the hiker back to the head of the trail.
