Chattanooga police located the man driving through the Frazier Avenue planters Tuesday morning. The planters had been in place for less than 24 hours before the truck driver collided with four of the planters. They were intended to serve as barriers to enhance safety in the area after a drunk driver struck and killed a mother and child in November 2023.
According to Chattanooga police, the driver who hit the four planters is a 36-year-old man from Dunlap. He was cited for failing to maintain his lane, driving on a suspended license, and failing to report the accident.
