On Sunday afternoon, authorities in Sequatchie County reported they were fighting a large fire on Daus Mountain.
Fire crews responding:

- West Valley
- Luminary
- Crossroads
- Fredonia Mountain
- Altamont
- Palmer
- Pikeville
- Whitwell
- Whitwell Mountain
- Lusk
The Fredonia Volunteer Fire Department issued an evacuation order for the Bluff View area and the Fredonia Mountain Nature Resort.
As of 6 pm Sunday, the fire near Woodcock Rd was 450 acres, 0% contained. Smith Mountain Fire was 15 acres, 0% contained, and Ridgeland Trail Rd Reported Fire was 10 acres, 0% contained.
Our friends at the Sequatchie Post reported on Sunday evening that a DC-10 tanker plane from Florida had arrived to assist the Woodcock Rd area fire.
