On Monday, the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office responded to a hit-and-run incident at the intersection of Rock Avenue and Main Street in Palmer, Tennessee.
An individual riding a bicycle, later identified as Bobby Dan Green of Palmer, was struck by a vehicle that subsequently fled the scene. Tragically, Mr. Green succumbed to his injuries.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) arrived on the scene and took over the investigation.
During a joint investigation involving the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Constable Kyle Collins, 12th Judicial Drug Task Force, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol, authorities arrested 25-year-old Haley Layman on Tuesday evening in connection with a fatal hit-and-run.
Tennessee State Trooper Matthew Parsley leads Layman to his patrol unit.
