The Sequatchie County Rescue Squad was dispatched at 2:01 p.m. on Sunday, June 8, for a missing person on Daus Mountain. Arriving on the scene at Daus Mountain Bunker Hill, they met with Sequatchie County Emergency Management Director Brian Ruehling, representatives from the Southend Volunteer Fire Department, and the Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Office.
They were informed it was an ATV accident, and the man had been entrapped under it, but he got his ATV off himself and started walking out. Each department began the search at 5:45 p.m.; the patient was located and checked out by Puckett EMS to prepare him for transportation.
