On Tuesday, June 24th, at approximately 6:25 PM, the Dunlap Fire Department was assigned to a plane crash, along with the Dunlap Police Department, Sequatchie County Emergency Management, Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Office, and Puckett EMS TN/North GA.

Firefighters assisted EMS with patient care and helped secure the crash site to prevent any fuel from igniting in the area. Sequatchie County Rescue Squad’s Rehab Unit was called to the scene due to the extended time for investigators.

A report from the FAA on Wednesday says the crash was fatal. That report says the pilot died in the crash, and a passenger on the plane was injured.
