Late Sunday night, Haletown Fire and Rescue responded to a single-car incident on Hwy 41 in Jasper.
Upon arrival, firemen found that a massive white oak tree had fallen and was lying across the road. A car was traveling on the roadway and ran into the tree.
After ensuring everyone was okay, firefighters cut down the tree to clear the roadway. TDOT arrived on the scene and assisted with the removal. After removing the tree from the roadway and loading the vehicle onto a wrecker, HWY 41 reopened.
