Members of the TBI Sex Offender Registry Unit assisted the Dunlap Police Department and the United States Marshals Service in a sex offender compliance operation named “Operation Sequatchie Sweep.”
The two-day operation began on August 26. Law enforcement teams conducted compliance checks on 25 registered sex offenders. Of those, 22 were in compliance. Three were non-compliant and arrested on charges related to violating the sex offender registry.
Sex offender registry compliance check operations like this one are conducted periodically in various counties across the state.
