Grants for Area Law Enforcement Agencies

Last week, the Tennessee Highway Safety Office, a division of the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security, announced $33.5 million in federal grant funds from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to be distributed statewide for the 2025–2026 federal fiscal year. Below is a list of local recipients.

  • Kimball Police Department Police-Traffic Services (Multiple Violations) $25,000
  • Marion County Marion County E911-Child Passenger Safety & Occupant Protection $20,000
  • Marion County SheriDepartment-Impaired Driving Enforcement $40,000
  • South Pittsburg Police Department-High Visibility Enforcement $8,784
  • Whitwell Police Department-High Visibility Enforcement $10,000

  • Monteagle Police Department-Police Traffic Services (Multiple Violations) $20,000
  • Tracy City Police Department-High Visibility Enforcement $10,000.
  • Dunlap Police Department-Impaired Driving Enforcement $20,000
  • Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Department-Impaired Driving Enforcement $19,999.10.
