The Powerball jackpot is projected to reach at least $1.3 billion for Wednesday’s drawing, following the absence of winning tickets in Monday’s drawing. The cash option for Wednesday’s prize is estimated to be $589 million.
For Monday night’s Powerball drawing, which featured an estimated $1.2 billion jackpot—previously the fifth-largest in the game’s history—the winning numbers were 8, 23, 25, 40, and 53, with a Powerball number of 5.
With the current increase, Wednesday’s grand prize now occupies the fifth position among all-time Powerball jackpots, and it may move into fourth place depending on ticket sales before the drawing. The fourth-largest jackpot is $1.326 billion, claimed in Oregon in April 2024.
