SCAM ALERT: Fake FedEx Delivery Messages
Law enforcement officials are warning citizens about a new scam circulating in the state. Victims are receiving text messages or emails that appear to be from FedEx® Ground, claiming a package delivery attempt was made and asking you to reschedule using a suspicious link.
Example of the message:
“We attempted to deliver your FedEx package on August 20th, but were unable to contact you… Reschedule now: https://www.fedex.com@qteui.ink/us”
THIS IS A SCAM. DO NOT CLICK THE LINK.
The link provided does not go to the official FedEx website and is designed to steal your personal information or infect your device with malware.
How to Stay Safe:
Do not click on suspicious links.
Do not reply to the message.
Always verify package deliveries directly through the official FedEx website or app.
Report phishing attempts to reportfraud.ftc.gov or forward suspicious texts to SPAM (7726).
