Week 8 of the regular season of high school football in Tennessee comes to the Sequatchie Valley this Friday night, with several big games on the line for our area teams.
First the Marion County Warriors (6-1) face the Grundy County Yellowjackets (7-0) in a key district game for both teams.
The Warriors are currently ranked #1 in the district with a 2-0 record. Grundy, also 2-0, hold the 2nd place position in the district, and this game will have a lot on the line for both teams this season.
The Warriors will host Grundy in Jasper at MCHS and Bill Baxter Stadium with kick-off at 7:00 PM Central.

The South Pittsburg Pirates (5-1) are on the road this week against the Lookout Valley Yellowjackets (2-5). The game will be played at Lookout Valley High School. Kick-off is at 7:00 PM Central. The Whitwell Tigers also face off in a district game this week against Sale Creek.
The Tigers are 2-5 on the season, the Sale Creek Panters are 6-0 overall.
The game will take place at Earl Condra Stadium on the campus of Whitwell High School with kick-off at 7:00 PM Central. Play-by-play coverage on Tigers Radio is by Corey Blevins. The Sequatchie County Indians (5-2) and Bledsoe County Warriors (5-2) both have a bye week this week and are not in action.

In Northeast Alabama the North Jackson Chiefs (4-2) are on the road at Plainview (6-0) in Rainsville, AL.
The North Sand Mountain Bison (6-0) travel just down the mountain to face the Section Lions (2-5).
And it’s the fight of the Wildcats in Scottsboro…as the Scottsboro Wildcats (4-3) host the Guntersville Wildcats (6-0).
