Update – 8:30 AM CST 11/19/25:
Sequatchie County Sheriff Bill Phillips says no one was seriously injured in an early morning crash on Wednesday involving a log truck on Highway 111 Southbound near the Sequatchie-Hamilton County line.
The accident occurred around 5:00 AM CST and forced the highway to be completely closed to traffic for a brief period of time, with one lane opening around 7:00 AM, and completely opening a short time after that.
The accident appears to have involved a log truck and another, smaller, commercial vehicle; however, no official information was given on the cause of the accident we are happy to report no serious injuries were sustained.

Previous Update:
An early morning accident on Wednesday involving a log truck has caused serious delays for commuters on Highway 111 southbound near the Hamilton-Sequatchie County line.
Officials say the accident happened around 5:00 AM CST, and forced the highway to be closed for a brief period of time. According to TDOT’s website, the left lane was opened as of around 7:00 AM CST, but delays were still ongoing.
Right now we aren’t clear on exactly how many vehicles were involved in the accident or the severity of any injuries; however, eyewitnesses reports say at least one other vehicle was involved, which appeared to be a commercial van for a Chattanooga area electrical contractor.
