Nashville to Host Olympic Soccer Matches in 2028

Nashville just landed an impressive sporting event, landing a spot among the six U.S. cities joining Los Angeles to host Olympic soccer matches during the upcoming Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Nashville NBC affiliate WSMV reports that the six cities will host the group stages of the tournament, with the final stage matches to be held at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.

The list of host cities are:

– New York, New York (future home of the New York City Football Club, estimated completion in 2027)

– Columbus, Ohio (Lower.com Field, home of the Columbus Crew)

– Nashville, Tennessee (Geodis Park, home of the Nashville Soccer Club)

– St. Louis, Missouri (Energizer Park, home of the St. Louis City Soccer Club)

– San José, California (PayPal Park, home of the San Jose Earthquakes and Bay Football Club)

– San Diego, California (Petco Park, home of the San Diego Football Club, San Diego Wave Football Club, and San Diego State University)

The schedule for both the women’s and men’s soccer tournaments, with the dates and matches for each stadium, will be announced before the first ticket drop in April 2026.
