Important SNAP Benefit Information

Replacement Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Benefits (SNAP) may be an option for current SNAP recipients who lost food due to power outage or household misfortune.

To request replacement benefits, SNAP customers must submit a signed affidavit to the Tennessee Department of Human Services.

The affidavit can be downloaded from the “Disaster Related Emergency Assistance” webpage on the TDHS website and is available in multiple languages.

Once signed, Tennesseans can submit their affidavits using the upload option on the One DHS Customer Portal at OneDHS.tn.gov/csp.

Due to Winter Storm Fern, SNAP Tennessee households have until February 23, 2026; to submit SNAP Replacement Affidavits related to food loss (generally, requests should be submitted within 10 days of food loss).
