MARION COUNTY I-24 from 156.4 to 160.2 resurfacing:Â The contractor will be performing resurfacing operations on I-24 EB and WB in Marion County from MM 156.4 East of SR-28 to MM 160.2 West of the Tennessee River. This work will require single lane closures, leaving one lane open in each direction each night worked. Resurfacing operations will take place through Thursday from 6 PM CT – 5 AM CT. Please use caution when driving through the work zones.
MARION COUNTY SR-108 slide mitigation:Â The contractor will be performing slide mitigation operations, including grading, drainage and paving on SR-108 in Marion County at LM 2.8. The roadway will be reduced to one lane controlled by temporary traffic signals. The project completion date is 08/31/2027. Please use caution when driving through the work zone.
MARION COUNTY SR-156 repair of bridge over Tennessee River, LM 15.2:Â The contractor will be performing painting operations and structural repairs on the SR-156 bridge over the Tennessee River in South Pittsburg. This work will require intermittent lane closures controlled by flaggers or a temporary traffic signal, leaving one lane open. Please use caution when driving through the work zone.
MARION COUNTY SR-2 Â from 17.2 to 17.3 construction:Â The contractor will be performing grading and drainage operations on SR-2 in Marion County near LM 17.25. This work will require a lane shift for the EB traffic; the WB traffic will be unaffected. Please slow down and use caution when driving through the work zone.
MARION COUNTY SR-27 (US-72) resurfacing from the Alabama State Line (LM 0) to north of SR-156 (LM 2.7):Â The contractor will be performing paving operations on SR-27 EB and WB in Marion County from the Alabama state line to north of SR-156. This work will require single lane closures, leaving one lane open in each direction during daytime work hours. Please use caution when driving through the work zones. MARION COUNTY SR-28 (STATE HWY. 28) TDOT Maintenance southbound from LM 1.2 to LM 1.8:Â TDOT maintenance will begin work on building a turning lane on SR-28 between LM 1.2 and 1.8 on 10/28/2025. This operation will continue until 11/05/2025, with traffic control set up to shift traffic through the work zone. Northbound traffic will not be affected. Motorists are asked to use caution in this area.
