MARION COUNTY I-24 TDOT Contractor westbound from MM 162 to MM 161.4:Â Big Woody’s Tree Service will be performing mechanical tree and brush removal 04/20/26 – 04/24/26 from 7 PM to 6 AM. Contractor SDM Traffic Plan will be closing Lane # 2 in the westbound direction. Eastbound will not be affected.
MARION COUNTY I-24 [137-138.2] from 137 to 138.2 Rockfall Mitigation on I-24 near MM 137:Â The contractor will be performing rockfall mitigation operations on I-24 WB beginning at MM 138.2 in Marion County. The middle lane, right lane, and right shoulder have been closed. 2 Lanes of traffic have been shifted to flow on the left shoulder and left lane. Blasting will also occur during the weekdays between 9 AM and 3 PM. Blasting operations will require a rolling roadblock. All lanes will be reopened to traffic by May 22, 2026. Work will continue off the road after May 22, and the project will be completed by July 31, 2026.
MARION COUNTY SR-108 [2.8-3.24] slide mitigation:Â The contractor will be performing slide mitigation operations, including grading, drainage and paving on SR-108 in Marion County at LM 2.8. The roadway will be reduced to one lane controlled by temporary traffic signals. The project completion date is 08/31/2027. Please use caution when driving through the work zone.
MARION COUNTY SR-2 [17.2-17.3] from 17.2 to 17.3 construction:Â The contractor will be performing grading and drainage operations on SR-2 in Marion County near LM 17.25. This work will require a lane shift for the EB traffic – the WB traffic will be unaffected. Please slow down and use caution when driving through the work zone.
