Graduation season is underway across the region as high schools in Marion, Sequatchie, and Grundy counties, along with several Northeast Alabama schools, prepare to honor the Class of 2026 during ceremonies throughout May.
In Marion County:
- Whitwell High School will hold its graduation ceremony Tuesday, May 12 at 7:00 PM CDT at Earl Condra Stadium.
- Marion Virtual High School graduates will be recognized Thursday, May 14 at 4:30 PM EDT at Marion County High School in Jasper.
- Marion County High School’s commencement ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, May 14 at 7:00 PM CDT at Bill Baxter Stadium on the school campus. School officials say gates will open at 6 p.m., and the ceremony will move to the school gymnasium in the event of severe weather.
- South Pittsburg High School will hold graduation exercises Friday, May 15 at 7:00 PM CDT at the school’s Beene Stadium.
- Richard Hardy Memorial School will also celebrate its graduating seniors on Thursday, May 14 at 6:00 PM CDT at the school.
Other area schools:
- Sequatchie County High School graduation ceremonies are set for Friday, May 15 at 6:00 PM CDT. The school will also host Honors Night on Thursday, May 14 at 6:00 PM. Both events will be live-streamed through the school district’s YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@sequatchiecoschools/streams) and linked through the district’s Facebook page.
- Grundy County High School in Coalmont will hold graduation Thursday, May 14 at 7:00 PM CDT on the football field, weather permitting.
- North Jackson High School in Stevenson will hold graduation ceremonies Monday, May 18 at 8:00 PM at the high school campus.
- Scottsboro High School graduation is scheduled for Friday, May 22 at 7:00 PM CDT in the high school gymnasium, with doors opening at 5:00 PM CDT.
- Dade County High School graduation is on Friday, May 15, 2026 at 7:00 PM EDT at the high school.
