Marion County Schools Seeking Applicants for Multiple Open Positions Ahead of New School Year

JASPER, Tenn. — The Marion County Board of Education and school district is continuing its search for educators, support staff, transportation personnel, and coaches as preparations continue for the upcoming school year.

According to the Marion County Board of Education’s latest employment listing, openings are available across elementary, middle, and high school levels throughout the county, along with several countywide positions.

Among the positions currently posted are elementary teachers, exceptional education teachers, music teachers, teacher assistants, cafeteria monitors, middle grades English Language Arts teachers, math teachers, social studies teachers, and high school science and English teachers. Additional openings include a computer science teacher, speech and language pathologist, bus contractors and drivers, and head wrestling coaches at both Whitwell Middle School and Jasper Middle School.

The school system is also seeking qualified applicants for countywide support roles and transportation positions. Officials noted that bus contractors and drivers must hold a CDL with an S endorsement or be willing to obtain the required certification.

Most teaching positions require a valid Tennessee teaching license or eligibility for a practitioner license while completing an approved educator preparation program. Several positions are available at schools in Jasper, South Pittsburg, Whitwell, and Monteagle.

Marion County Schools states that all positions are posted for a minimum of five business days before a hiring decision can be made. The current list of openings was updated June 2, 2026.
